Black on Purpose

After years of community building and research, Black on Purpose (C3/C4) was launched in the Fall of 2024 as a bold and authentic brand and campaign created by and for Black men. With a focus in Detroit and Milwaukee, Black on Purpose has reached 1.2 million people, with over 100 pieces of content to create a unique space for Black men to have real, unfiltered conversations about civic engagement, gender and leadership, and the community issues that are directly impacting their lives.

Lifestyle Influencers x State Supreme Courts

To amplify the critical role of the State Supreme Court ahead of the 2024 Fall Election, The League teamed up with over 60 lifestyle influencers in Ohio and Michigan for a dynamic multi-post series. Over three months, this collaboration generated more than 245 pieces of content, reaching over 16 million people. This cohort of creators educated their communities on how the State Supreme Court impacts the issues that matter most to them.

2024 ENVSN Festival

Reproductive Justice took center stage at ENVSVN Fest,  where The League in Action partnered for the 'Real Hot Girl Sh*t: Your Body. Your Rules. Your Rights.' panel. The conversation, moderated by Kimberly Bizu, founder and host of Rich Little Brokegirls, featured Chief Strategy Officer JT Johnson, creator and advocate Deja Foxx, and Michi Cárdenas, a Raíz Community Organizer for Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Action Fund."

 

When Claude Got Shot

2022 Emmy Winner When Claude Got Shot is a powerful documentary that grapples with the reality of gun violence. The League’s impact campaign consists of deep community engagement, innovative storytelling, and strategic partnerships that work to shift the narrative around this critical issue. In 2023, The League is proud to announce “Courtside Conversations” an interactive event for at-risk youth in partnership with key NBA teams. In 2024 The League is proud to announce that the “When Claude Got Shot” impact campaign won both a gold and silver Anthem Award.

The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks

Produced by Soledad O’Brien Productions, The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks, explores the real Rosa Parks, a determined, powerful, radical activist who dedicated her entire life to fighting for justice. The League’s impact campaign is in service to reframing her legacy, spotlighting the efforts of contemporary Black women who continue her fight, and making clear the importance of teaching true American history. In 2024 The League is proud to announce that the “The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks” impact campaign won a silver Anthem Award.
