Director of Story & Content

Sydney Hart serves as the primary creative and narrative lead across The League, producing original multimedia content and leading digital platforms for initiatives, campaigns and partnerships. As a Creative Director and Digital Producer, Sydney blends her experience in story development, visual production, deep audience insights, and cultural organizing to inform our work. Sydney’s leadership for various projects have aided in recognition from the Anthem and Webby Awards.

During partnerships at The League, Sydney has driven digital within film social impact campaigns for documentary and narrative projects like When Claude Got Shot, The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks, Lilly, And She Could Be Next, and The Big Payback. She’s consulted around cultural impact for projects like Disney's The Little Mermaid, and WISH. When it comes to our proprietary projects, she has guided content development within initiatives like Full Set Society and Black on Purpose. Her collaborative spirit has led The League to build its network of videographers, content creators, editors, copywriters and similar vendors nationwide to craft hundreds of pieces of content, garnering millions of views. 

Sydney’s rolodex of previous work includes programming at the USDA’s Office of the Assistant Secretary of Civil Rights, influencer recruitment for national non-profits, copywriting at independent agencies, and production for screens big and small.

The product of an HBCU, Sydney holds her degree from Kentucky State University in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism, with which her writing was recognized by the Kentucky Press Association.

Sydney currently resides in the Chicago area, exploring the city for the best matcha, concerts and theater shows. When she’s not writing to her heart’s content, she is directing short films, or curled up with a book.
